The person behind the camera
My name is Nadia and I am based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
I have a background in Biomedical Sciences and hold a master’s degree in Science & Business Management from Utrecht University. This scientific training shaped the way I observe the world: analytical, structured, and attentive to detail.
Alongside this analytical side, creativity has always played an important role in my life. I enjoy writing, photography, and designing visual materials such as flyers. Photography in particular allows me to slow down and notice moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed.
When I travel, I often find myself reaching for my camera. I enjoy capturing both the bigger picture—wide landscapes and city scenes—and the small details of nature or unexpected moments that give a place its character.
The origin story
Dance of Dawn actually started many years ago.
As a child, I was always curious about the world around me. I spent a lot of time outside, exploring nature—catching frogs, observing them, and trying to understand how things worked. That curiosity has always stayed with me.
When I was around twelve years old, school did not challenge me enough, so I started teaching myself how to code. I learned HTML, CSS, and PHP and built my own website from scratch, including the layout. At first it was playful and experimental – many designs were literally drawn in Paint. Over time the website became more refined.
I continued working on it for several years, but around the age of eighteen I gradually stopped. Other things in life took priority such as studying and the website faded into the background.
Now, many years later, it feels like the right moment to bring it back. Reviving Dance of Dawn is a way to reconnect with my intrinsic curiosity and creativity, and to create a space where I can share photography, ideas, and moments that inspire me
